HOTEL "USADBA"

The four-star countryside park hotel "Usadba" with a rich history is located in a picturesque area near Kaliningrad. This unique park hotel features a restaurant serving homemade Russian cuisine and a large area for leisurely walks.

The hotel offers 66 rooms, designed in the estate's thematic style and housed in three buildings, with views of the garden, pool, and park areas. The interior combines the atmosphere of a country house with designer elements and restored antique furniture. Each room has unique features such as old fireplaces, antique chandeliers, wardrobes, and furniture. The hotel offers both classic rooms and spacious two-room suites, as well as apartments.

Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool during the summer season. The hotel is situated 15 minutes from the center of Kaliningrad, 17 minutes from Khrabrovo Airport, and 20 minutes from the nearest resort town on the Baltic Sea coast, Zelenogradsk.

HISTORY

"Usadba" was built in a place called Nesselbek ("Nettle Brook") in the 18th century. Nesselbek was a noble estate and rural manor belonging to the Neumann-Feldberg family, originally from Mecklenburg. The Neumann-Feldberg family owned over 496 hectares of land on both sides of the brook, and besides the main building, there were structures for storing grain and housing and breeding cattle and horses. Additionally, there were meadows, pastures, a forest, avenues of decorative plants, flower beds, and gardens.

Nesselbek, translated from German, means "Nettle Brook." Indeed, there was a brook running through the village with nettles growing densely along its banks. In 1910, Nesselbek had a population of 184 people. During World War II, Nesselbek was turned into a fortified stronghold near Fort "King Friedrich III," which was captured by Soviet soldiers on January 28, 1945. In 1946, Nesselbek was renamed the village of Orlovka.

HOTEL TODAY

By 2004, when the site was acquired for private ownership, only the partially ruined main building and a 4-hectare area remained. The partially preserved old German mansion was restored, marking the beginning of a new chapter—the park hotel "Usadba" in Kaliningrad.

The decision was made to revive the noble spirit and hospitality of the 19th century. Thus, in addition to the main building housing the hotel and restaurant, new hotel buildings, verandas, terraces, banquet halls, a pool, vegetable gardens, orchards, plant avenues, and a geometric park were constructed on the grounds.

Today, "Usadba" is a unique countryside boutique hotel with a restaurant offering homemade Russian cuisine and a large picturesque area for walks.
